Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notification on Monday, 15th May, 2017 for Combined Graduate Level Exam (CGL) 2017 for filling up the different categories of posts (non-technical Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ non-gazetted) in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organisations. Filling of online application form for CGL Tier-1 will start from 16th May, 2017 and last date for filling the form is 16th June, 2017. Candidate can apply on ssconline.nic.in.

Important Information about SSC CGL 2017
- Exam duration for Tier-1 is 60 minutes (earlier it was 75 minutes)
- Age will be calculated as on August 1st, 2017
- Education Qualification will be seen as on 1st August 2017 i.e. the candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017.
- Questions in Tier-I of General Intelligent & Reasoning, English Comprehension and General Awareness section will be of a level commensurate with the essential qualification viz. Graduation and Quantitative Aptitude will be 10th standard level
- Question in Tier-2: Paper-I will be of 10th standard level, Paper-II of 10+2 level and Paper-III of graduation level
- Data Entry Speed Test (DEST)is only for the post of Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax)
CGL 2017 Tier-1 exam will be held from 1st August to 20th August and Tier-2 is scheduled on 10th and 11th November. Tier-3 Descriptive Paper will be held on 21st January, 2018 and the Skill Test (Tier-4) is scheduled in February of next year.
